Dr. Kezban Çelik is a professor in the Department of Sociology at TED University, Ankara, Turkey. She received her PhD from the Department of Sociology at the Middle East Technical University. Her research focuses on the analysis of gender inequality in Turkey, which includes measuring socio-economic status and social mobility, and migration (internal, return, irregular migration, migrant labour, migrant young girls and women), focusing on age and youth, social networks, young women’s employment in informal sectors and various issues like poverty, social exclusion indicators, citizenship and civil society initiatives related to sustainable development.
