Perception of Schizophrenia
Stigmatization is a broad and multi-directional concept which has been receiving increased attention in psychiatric research and policymaking. XSIGHTS’ survey looked at the reasons and consequences of stigmatization of schizophrenic patients among the general public. The results of the perception survey were shared in both traditional and social media to raise awareness about the stigma against people suffering from this condition. The research was presented in an academic article and was selected for presentation at the Schizophrenia International Research Society Biennial Meeting in 2020. The research provided invaluable insights for The Federation of Schizophrenia Associations which was able to design a program on fighting against stigmatization of this mental illness. Our work informed decision makers about the necessary policy changes to allow schizophrenic patients to not suffer a life of long-term unemployment, poverty, homelessness, exploitation, and victimization, but rather to live a life which is worth living without the heavy burden of social pressure. Satisfaction with Health Services Among Syrians under Temporary Protection (SuTPs)
XSIGHTS conducted 12,800 surveys in two waves over the course of 24 months to assess the impact of additional health services on SuTPs. In addition to the quantitative surveys, XSIGHTS conducted 12 focus group discussions with SuTPs in Gaziantep and Istanbul to assess the impact of EU funded health facilities and services on SuTPs. Impact Assessment for WHO’s Slow Down to Save Lives Campaign
Not wearing a seat belt is one of the main causes of death in traffic accidents. XSIGHTS carried out an impact assessment with pre and post surveys on this issue. Substance Use Research Among University Students
XSIGHTS conducted more than 14,000 interviews with university students about their usage of alcohol and other addictive substances. The results of the research were used for policy formulations in Turkey.
The Impact of COVID-19 on the Labor Force

Obesity Research
XSIGHTS was commissioned to conduct a survey at the exit points of fast-food restaurants to connect with customers on their eating habits. The data collected was analyzed in conjunction with the weight and heigh of the respondents. The results of this academic survey were used to promote healthy eating habits by the Ministry of Health (MoH).
Gastronomy Survey

Research on Anti- Vaxxers for COVID-19 Vaccine
XSIGHTS conducted research for Nişantaşı University in 2021 to examine the motivations of individuals who are resistant to getting a COVID vaccine (anti- vaxxers) or who consider themselves anti-vaccine, as well as conditions under which people would be willing to get vaccinated. The information gathered from the provinces of Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir through an online survey was shared with the public in order to inform all relevant Ministry of Health, NGO and medical professionals.
Team Paribu Sports Perception Research
Team Paribu is a project initiated by Paribu with the aim of supporting sports and national athletes representing Turkey on their journey to the Olympics. Team Paribu hired XSIGHTS to conduct research on the general perception of sports in Turkish society and to understand the overall perception of different sports supported by Team Paribu. The study included a representative sample of 400 Turkish participants, including adults aged 18 and above, some of who were parents. The survey explored the perceptions adults have towards sports, as well as whether or not parents provide their children with sports education and support. The results were utilized for Team Paribu’s communication and sponsorship strategy.
